I am a 300 level student of a private university in Nigeria. I have wanted to study abroad since I graduated secondary school, but the admission didn’t fall through. My parents told me to try again, so we kept at it, but I also took the JAMB form just in case, the admission abroad didn’t work the second time, but I got admission to the Nigerian private university and decided to start.

Long story short, I am already in 300 level her and have just one year left to get to final year and finish, but the admission abroad has come through, even with a scholarship, but I’ll start from 1st year all over again. Let me also mention hat my current school didn’t give me the course I wanted at first, but I have come to like it now. The university abroad gave me my initial course, I’m thinking I may not be as interested anymore.

My parents are telling me to go abroad especially because of the scholarship that it is a one time opportunity, but I’m thinking of deferring the admission till o graduate here, then start my studies there. The only problem is that you can defer admission but not scholarship. If I defer the admission by one year, I can still resume, but I cannot get the scholarship anymore and I have to fund my studies myself. What do you think?
