Maximizing productivity as a Studentpreneur

The Studentpreneur Series

Hey, my best guy! Agba scholar and business guru! Trying to keep up with lectures and hustling to build your business can feel like trying to navigate Lagos traffic during rush hour (chaotic, but rewarding because cool cash is involved 😉) However, you have to understand that with a brain-bursting CGPA, plenty of money and influence, comes great responsibility. Here are some tips to help you navigate the hustle and bustle of student life while building your business empire:

1. Learn to block time: Just like planning your route through Lagos traffic, plan your day with time blocking. Allocate dedicated time slots for attending lectures, handling business-related activities, and naturally, indulging in that essential jollof rice break. Stay disciplined, and you\’ll avoid getting stuck in traffic jams of procrastination.

2. Pomodoro Technique (Suya Break Edition): Work for 25 minutes, then reward yourself with a 5-minute break, it could be a quick stroll to your favourite suya spot or a chat with your roommates or that your crush 🙈. Rinse and repeat until you\’ve conquered your to-do list. Having a to-do list is not negotiable o

3. Outsource like the sharp babe/guy that you are: Don\’t try to do it all yourself. Delegate tasks that others can handle, and the great thing is that technology has made delegation easy. For instance, you can schedule important messages or use Instagram/Facebook to plan your business posts. Communities like The Family of Students (TFS) or your trusted coursemates can help lighten your load too.

4. Organize Your Life: Keep your room and digital space tidy, clutter is the enemy of productivity. Use apps like Notion or Evernote to keep track of your tasks, deadlines, and business ideas. A clear space equals a clear mind, ready to conquer whatever life throws your way.

5. Slay Your Priorities like a Lagos Slay Queen/King: Identify your money-making and CGPA-boosting tasks and tackle them first. For example, you can allocate a minimum of 2 hours a day to study which you can then break with intervals so you don\’t feel overwhelmed. The rest can wait until you\’ve secured the bag. After all, nobody messes with a vision-oriented business mogul on a mission 😉

Remember, as a Nigerian student who also owns a business, you are a Superhero, don\’t let anyone tell you otherwise because it takes courage, strength and discipline to be excellent at school and impact your society through the solutions you provide with your business. You are like that student, navigating the bustling streets of opportunities with style and swagger.

Stay focused and hungry; before you know it, you\’ll be making waves in the Nigerian business scene and possibly globally. Now go forth and thrive, my sharp Studentpreneur.
