Breakfast Recovery 101

Date:

E don cast! Last last! Na everybody go chop breakfast! Shayooooo.

At this point, we all know that breakfast is inevitable. Even if it\’s not you, you probably know somebody that has chopped breakfast. Or you know somebody who knows somebody. The issue now is that most people don\’t know how to recover from breakfast, but that is what TFS is here for. You know we love you too much to leave you hanging.

We want to show you how to live through heartbreak even if the relationship was with a coursemate, a hostel mate, or just someone you have to see every day. You can heal! More importantly, you can move on and end up with a better person. Yes, it\’s possible.

See, in this life ehn? You will face heartbreak. It\’s just the truth lol. And no, it\’s not restricted to romantic relationships. Friends can break your heart too (if you know what I\’m talking about say hiii).

However, in all this rogbodiyan, how you come out of the situation matters. It\’s important, especially for us Gen Zers to know how to maneuver emotional rollercoasters like these with a level of mastery.

Do you have your notepad and pen? Yes? Oya, let\’s start.

The number one key to getting through heartbreak is remembering your self-worth and loving yourself. This is important so that you don\’t depend on someone else’s love to feel whole or complete.

Next, I\’d encourage you to look to people in your life that you can lean on while your heart heals. Find solace in your friends and loved ones. By the time you spend like 2 hours with your closest G’s, cracking jokes and just having conversations, you\’ll realize that you\’ve laughed for the first time since your heart was broken. Being in a positive environment helps offset the emotional pain that heartbreak causes.

It\’s important to note that it\’s okay to feel angry, sad, or disappointed. It\’s normal. Healing begins with acknowledging and addressing these feelings.

Rather than letting yourself stay on suffering and pain, you can channel that energy into personal development. Come back stronger! Start working out if you must. Let\’s show them. It can be powerful to use heartbreak as a motivator to be better, whether that means doubling down on academic goals (CGPA must rise by force), learning new skills, or exploring new hobbies.

Another thing is, you might need a digital detox. See ehn, social media can easily make someone that is heartbroken feel worse. There will be many things that can irritate you. For example, amebo people that want to get the latest update on your personal life…do yourself a favour and shift from them abeg.

Limiting social media for a while will free you from constant reminders of your ex (partner or friend) and help you concentrate on yourself.

Lastly, get help if you need it! After acknowledging what you feel, start addressing it. Join support groups where you can rant, or meet therapists or counselors who can offer insightful advice and a secure environment for your healing.

Every setback offers the chance to grow yourself. It\’s time, to be honest with yourself and think back on what went wrong in the previous relationship. Point out your faults and start working to ensure you do not repeat past mistakes. Also clearly define your boundaries, and identify traits you want in your future friend or partner.

In summary, though breakfast can make you emotionally pained and downcast, it can be a chance for personal growth and exploration. You must practice self-love, accept your feelings and look for supportive relationships. As you go, remember that every forward step you take means strength and that you are not alone. You can do it. TFS is rooting for you!
